In a recent NL West MLB Scoring Report by Sports Betting Baseball (SportsBettingBaseball.com), the Dodgers and Diamondbacks were the two teams in the NL West with a positive hits/runs ratio. They both also have a lower hits/runs ratio that their opponents’. Lower is better. For instance, the LA Dodgers have a hits/run ratio of 1.91, which means they score one run per 1.91 hits. They are holding their opponents to one run per 2.55 hits. The Arizona Diamondbacks have a 1.93 hits/run ratio and their holding their opponents to 2.45, just slightly under the Dodgers’ number.
