Kerry Wood (CHC) – Well, Kerry is hurt again. He has battled injury his whole career and this year won’t be any different. On Tuesday, Wood will have minor arthroscopic knew surgery on his right knee. There’s no timetable for his return yet, but he was already starting to test out his right shoulder from his surgery in August 2005. That will now be postponed some.

Kerry Wood only had 21 appearences last year for a total of 66 innings. While he did show potential, striking out more than 1 batter per inning, he had his troubles. Wood gave up almost 1 hit per inning, walked 26 and finished with a 4.23 era. There was hope that 2006 would be a banner year. While that’s still possible, it is now in question.

The 2006 season might not be any better than the 2005 season. Time will tell.
